Every event in your smart home travels through a high-speed messaging network. This guide shows how information flows from your devices to our cloud and back to your app.

How Information Travels

• Device to Cloud: Your devices are constantly sending "heartbeats" (regular check-ins) and "state updates" (notifying the cloud when something changes).
• Cloud to App: When our cloud receives an update from a device, it "broadcasts" that update instantly to your app. This is why you see the light switch status change in your app the moment you flip the physical switch.
• App to Device: When you tap a button in your app, the command travels through our Smart Shield and is then "published" to the Device Network, where your specific device is listening.
• Behind the Scenes: We also use these channels to "evict" old security keys when you rotate them, ensuring that old or compromised keys can never be used again.

By using these specialized "lanes" for different types of information, we ensure that your smart world is always responsive and your security is always maintained.
